Tapestry

At Chestnut Nursery we use Tapestry Online Learning Journal to share the children’s individual development, learning and experiences with parents. We use photos, videos and diary entries to build a holistic picture of each child and chart their journey. Parents are encouraged to comment on journal entries and add their own posts to share with nursery staff which helps us to understand your child’s development at home, as well as valuing your home traditions, celebrations and family interests. In addition, looking and talking about the pictures and videos on Tapestry with the children, both in nursery and at home, helps to develop the children’s language skills, memory and builds their self-esteem.

We also use Tapestry as another way of keeping in touch. We post our monthly newsletter and learning tips on the site to ensure parents are kept up to date.
